WOW has been transformed into something very familiar! This is the latest work of Katsuya Masuda’s big hit item “WOW”. It is a pass case type WOW. This allows us to do more magic more naturally, mysteriously!
Performance
Ask the audience to draw their favorite pictures and letters on a piece of white paper. Have the audience hold the paper you wrote face down. Then put the blank white paper inside the pass case. When the magician shakes the pass case lightly, the picture written by the audience earlier gradually emerges! When I look at the paper that the audience is holding, it is completely blank. At the end, you can give the pass case to the audience and ask them to check the picture inside.

WHAT IT IS:
Gimmick with routine(s) included
HOW ACCURATE OR COMPLETE THE AD COPY IS:
It’s accurate but it doesn’t mention that there is potential for quite a lot more with this, especially in the field of mentalism.
SET-UP AND RE-SET:
A simple, very specific, squeeze on the case is all you need to work this. You can do that to re-set or set-up the case, if you need to. Otherwise, there really is none.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED THAT YOU NEED OR NEED TO KNOW:
As mentioned above, it doesn’t mention the possibilities for mentalism. I immediately came up with a way to use it as a peek wallet which could peek drawings, numbers, and words, quite easily. In fact, I did create a drawing duplication routine which I think turned out well. I also thought of a pseudo-hypnosis routine in which you can make the participant not be able to see a word which the audience can see. I’m sure there’s other possibilities.

JHEFF’S JUDGMENT:
Though this handsomely made leather I.D. holder is being sold as a magic effect, it does have great potential for mentalism routines as I mentioned above. You’ll have to be creative, though. Since I know many may think that I’m stretching things a bit, and many may prefer to have routines ready to go, this item may not be a good fit for you. For this reason, this will not be a featured item in my catalog, but if you’re creative and see the potential here and want to play with it, as I do, get one and dig in.
