A Sealed Dice Mystery by Magic’s Express
The design of NO WAY TO PEEK was inspired by classic photographic film canisters – compact containers designed to keep film safely sealed away from light.
We took that simple idea and turned it into an impossible dice mystery.
A die is placed inside the box and the lid is screwed tightly shut.
Without opening the box, and without seeing the die, the magician can still know exactly which number is facing up.
The spectator can freely examine both the box and the die, choose any number, place the die inside, and seal the box themselves.
NO WAY TO PEEK is precision-made from aluminum alloy and designed for simple, practical real-world performance.
No electronics.
No sleight of hand.
Fully examinable.
Easy to perform.
Use it for predictions, mind reading, or create your own routines around the impossible idea of knowing what is inside a completely sealed box.

Jheff's Guide
WHAT IT IS:
Effect with Props
HOW ACCURATE OR COMPLETE THE AD COPY IS:
It’s accurate enough.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED THAT YOU NEED OR NEED TO KNOW:
In testing this, I couldn’t make the gimmick (“Special Accessory”) work consistently. Die-Cipher and Richard Osterlind’s Whispering Die already solved the problem of the no-peek Color Vision/Mental Die, without needing to use a “special accessory” or sleights.
SETUP AND RESET:
The gimmick must be reset. It takes a second or two.
ANGLES:
That depends upon how good you are with basic sleights. There are ways to hide the gimmick, so this is angle-proof (for instance, hiding it in a notebook).
SUITABLE VENUES:
Close-up, Walkaround
JHEFF’S JUDGMENT:
This product claims to improve on the classic Color Vision effect, but I found the method to be somewhat odd. In testing, I had a hard time consistently lifting the die off the gimmick, and that made learning the chosen number nearly impossible. Even if the gimmick did work, it is one more thing to carry around and requires a sleight, which Die-Cipher and The Whispering Die do not use. I wouldn’t recommend this, so this will not be in my catalog.
