The Blurb

Gravity Clips by Greg Van Holsbeck is an easy-to-do mind-reading miracle with a one-of-a-kind visual ending that never fails to get huge reactions.

A selection of postcards, playing cards, business cards, or pretty much anything flat, is handed out to an audience member. As you turn your back, they choose one and look at it before it’s lost back in the pack. The cards are then clipped to a cord, which is stretched out between two people. With a quick tug, all the cards fall to the ground…except for their selection!

The versatile, custom-made gimmick comes ready to go. It’s super easy to use and no sleight of hand is required. Since Gravity Clips works with basically any flat object, you have full freedom to personalize the routine however you want. Greg even shares a variety of routine ideas in the detailed tutorial to help you get started, as well as a PDF with custom-designed postcards you can print out and start using.

Enjoy effortless mind-reading with Gravity Clips by Greg Van Holsbeck.

JHEFF’S JUDGMENT:
You may know that I just love versatile utility items, and this one, based on a Stewart James idea, is quite clever and visual. For some, this may seem like mental magic and not your style, but if it does suit your style and interests, then this is a highly recommended item.

**MY COMMENTS**
Longtime readers of my product comments know that I just love versatile utility items and this one is quite clever. It appears to be just a long black cord with a string of bulldog clips on it. Yet, when you pull it, all but one drop. The one that doesn’t drop is the target or thought of item. As explained in the thirty-minute instructional video, the idea is based on a Stewart James idea, although in his version, only the selected item drops instead of all but the selected item, which is more visual.

Most importantly, this is essentially self-working. In other words, the clips are self-working because all you need to do is pull the ends. However, whatever method you use to have the participant freely select whatever is chosen and then get it into is entirely up to you in terms of difficulty. The handling that Greg uses and teaches is quite easy to do, although it does require a tiny bit of one-time preparation of the cards. One can certainly use other methods, though Greg’s handling seems the most practical.

Once again, I’ll stress the versatility of this. You can use whatever can be held by the bulldog clips, usually some form of cards or flat paper products, though not necessarily playing cards. Greg includes many routines to get your creative juices flowing, including one with silks and postcards with movies.

The only consideration for this is that the premise of all but one dropping may seem more of a mental magic routine and may not fit your style and needs. However, if this does suit your style and needs, then this is definitely a highly recommended item.
