The Blurb
The magician shows a coffee can. The audience clearly sees that it contains real coffee. It is displayed from every angle, including the lid, everything looks perfectly ordinary. The can is then closed.
The magician talks about how popular latte art is today, and then introduces several cards, each showing a different latte art design: a heart, a smile, a spiral, a star, and more. The spectator freely selects one.
You then ask the spectator to imagine drawing their chosen image on the coffee, as if tracing it with their finger in the sand.
When the can is opened again, the impossible happens: the chosen design is now visible in the coffee itself. And yes, you can pour out all the coffee from the can at the end.
Simple, logical, and incredibly visual.

Jheff's Guide
WHAT IT IS:
A small metal can for coffee grounds, though it’s not quite big enough to be considered pocket-sized.
HOW ACCURATE OR COMPLETE THE AD COPY IS:
It’s accurate enough.
WHAT’S NOT INCLUDED THAT YOU NEED OR NEED TO KNOW:
You must supply your own coffee grounds. It comes with pre-printed cards featuring designs, from which the participant will choose one. I suggest making your own cards, but then you’ll have to use a different selection method in order to accomplish what needs to be done.
SETUP AND RESET:
If you choose to end the routine by dumping out the coffee grounds, then you will have to put them back into the can and clean the area, of course. Otherwise, the setup and reset involve replacing the cover grounds cover and the coffee can lid.
ANGLES:
This can be done surrounded.
SUITABLE VENUES:
Close-up, Internet
JHEFF’S JUDGMENT:
This is an easy‑to‑do, well‑produced effect with a simple, self‑contained method and a visually striking final reveal in the coffee grounds. Once you supply your own grounds, everything else is ready to go, and the handling is casual, logical, and free of sleights. The only real considerations are the forced design built into the supplied cards and the challenge of justifying a coffee can full of grounds in more formal sets. For performers who enjoy tactile, sensory‑driven pieces or surreal imagery, this is a compelling addition; for others, it may remain a specialty item best suited to themed shows, casual performances, or social media.
